Accounts

To create and run projects in Epicenter, you need an Epicenter account.

An account is uniquely identified by the account short name.

In the Epicenter UI, accounts are represented by organizations.

Account short name

The account creator must set the account's unique identifier, called the account short name. This identifier becomes part of the URLs for all projects created in the account.

Account types

There are two types of accounts in Epicenter:

  • Team account - a licensed account created for an organization. The account admins create and/or support projects. Projects created in a team account can have authenticated users. Each admin on the team also gets a personal account.
  • Personal account - a free account to experiment and learn to create Epicenter projects. These projects can be private or public, but not authenticated. A personal account can be created by an admin.
